    Iconic Cards

I'll give you two iconic cards in my collecting history. One is the 1967 Topps Tom Seaver RC. Man that is a tough one to find being a high #. I've always held that card in much higher status than the more heralded Ryan RC. Another iconic card, also from the 1967 Topps baseball set is the...

    Iconic Cards

You have an excellant memory! His RCs were the most sought after cards in the hobby for a short while. and I do remember the astronomical asking prices for them. And this Donruss is a short print to boot!

    Iconic Cards

Isn't that Munson considered to be the first In Action card that was a player's regular issue card? Because it is the first IA card in the set numerically (#5 I believe), it is considered the first IA card in history? These In action cards do not count highlight or world series type cards but...

I've got both 1988 Donruss you need and a Billy Sample card for you. If you don't need anything else, PM me your mailing addy and I'll get them in the mail via PWE. I'll message you several "one and done" , "two and done" junk era want lists. If you can help me on any of those, that would...

Some hockey cards BVs for a trade please

Yeah, three of you guys were in a bad area. You, TC84 in Eastern Arkansas and Metsman1986 in Memphis. You and TC84 seem to have come through OK and I have seen Metsman1986 recently so it looks like you all dodged a bullet. Glad to see that!

    WTTF: 72-73 Topps Basketball

THat Gilmore RC is not mine but if it were, whatever the OPG said it was would be the starting point for trade value minus anything for condition issues. THere is no way one trader will discount because of a sale price and the other goes by book. That is the quickest way to grind a trade to a...

    WTTF: 72-73 Topps Basketball

I get not wantling to trade for a $120 card when you can buy it for $30. But if everyone uses the same pricing source (in this case Beckett's OPG) then I'd have to trade it or trade for it at $120 with the value adjusted for condition. Rotorob came through on the hockey pricing as you can...

Some hockey cards BVs for a trade please

Thanks Rob! I really appreciate it! BTW you were a topic of conversation about vintage basketball prices in the 1972-73 Topps basketball want list topic here. It seems Beckett may have updated their card values for 72-73 basketball while keeping the 71-72s the same. It stems from the...

    WTTF: 72-73 Topps Basketball

THe problem with past sales is it does not work for raw vintage since all vintage cards are not the same. I take high book and then value the card by condition. Since I can find a flaw on any card 99% of the cards I trade are at a discount from high book. I do check with members for the...

    WTTF: 72-73 Topps Basketball

That repricing of one but not the other is a possibility. That is weird because those two sets are extremely similar and you'd assume if one set's prices were readjusted so would the other. I never asked for a price check on the 72-73s I am trading because there is nothing spectacular in the...

    WTTF: 72-73 Topps Basketball

I'm looking at an old Beckett's Vintage guide from 2021. However, on the other site Rotorob just gave me the Spencer Haywood $120 value from Beckett's OPG. I actually posted a question about that card because I was shocked at what my paper guide said. Sure enough the values matched up...

    WTTF: 72-73 Topps Basketball

The Gilmore RC is $125. Those HOF RCs shot up a few years ago big time. I was shocked to see a Spencer Haywood RC is $125 as well. Moses, Rick Barry and a whole bunch of hof rcs shot up about 1/2 way through the Pandemic.
