2024 Topps Chrome Football Blaster Box

I couldn't believe it but my Walmart actually had one of these boxes on the shelf tonight when I went in. So, of course, I grabbed it. I really like this year's checklist, full of Hall of Famers, and past stars. Does Topps Chrome always do this? I never noticed this to be the case before, but it was a very nice surprise, not having looked at the checklist before I opened the box, to see all these old-school names.

Pretty fun break overall, I thought. Again, it was nice to see a lot of these old-school names, and I thought I did pretty good on the inserts. I would've liked to pull a few Cowboys, of course, but definitely some of my favorite players in here so it was nice seeing those names. I would've really liked to have seen the Randy Moss be a refractor, too, but beggars can't be choosers!

Here's a look at some of my favorite cards from this break. Everything here, except for the Terrell Davis is available for trade. If anyone needs any of these, let me know and we'll make something happen.

Yeah, I agree. Feels like something is missing without the logos, for sure. Also, I just realized today that the Bucky was the Sepia Refractor like the Mandarich pictured.

I'll look for it, for sure. I was surprised to find the Topps Chrome, honestly. Our Walmart usually doesn't have anything recent. What would be really nice is if Panini has a product that is old-school guy heavy like the Chrome was. As someone who has never been real big on the youngsters and rookies, I really enjoyed opening this box.

That said, I do kinda dig that CJ Stroud.

FR chances are 99 out of 100 that you are going to get less then $12-15 back in value from a blaster or mega unless you hit something crazy for $30 or $60. That is why I only buy a box or two every year and stick with box breaks, singles auctions, and trades.

I enjoy the thrill of opening a box, not knowing what's in there. That's why I buy boxes. Also, I don't really care about getting my money back. I can count on my hands and feet the number of cards I've sold through the years. I much prefer trading, and have given away probably more cards than I still own.

Yeah, I love the thrill, that was the only thing that was kind of missing in my first hobby box for my birthday was that normally the auto or hit is in the middle or third stack but as I opened the first pack, I was just thinking base and then I saw what was a 35th anniversary card that turned out to be the auto, so I did not get the chance to anticipate the auto and get excited. Still a fun pull though!

That's one of the best ways to do it. Open products you love and buy singles etc.
