I think this is actually hilarious.
It's basically as bad as their buyback for old video games where they'd offer $0.25-$1 for games they'd flip for 10 fold.
In this case, I tested it with this card

and then one I found at auction with psa 10 grading like mine,
And it's at auction with a bid for $175.

I got mine for $90 a while back, and I've seen them hit $120 in the past... But I find it funny that they're legitimately trying to buyback cards for the same profit margain as video games... I mean "a sucker is born everyday right?"

This is kinda like when I see Dave and Adam's offering to buy boxes of cards. They're offering like 60% of what you could get in eBay. Heck, at those rates, you could probably just sell them on forums like this for a lot more, and pretty quickly. It's a bit of a shame, but there are probably folks out there taking them up on these offers.

Its not a whole lot different than Blowout cards or Dave and Adams buyback programs. But, thats where the money is. When I was a kid, I helped out at a local card shop. All day long, people would bring in hordes of cards looking to sell. The Owner would buy entire collections for pennies on the dollar. Heck, he would let me purchase lots that he passed on. I was rolling in dough for a 14 year old kid. Setting up at card shows was much the same.

that is so insulting, that would not even cover what it cost to grade! Nice card by the way!

I listen to a few sports card podcasts and this can go both ways. Some folks are buying graded PSA 10s at a discount and flipping them over to Game Stop for a profit. Either way, it's not a program I'm going to be taking advantage of anytime soon.
