Member Participation Incentive Program

This month I'd like to introduce something new that I'm hoping will encourage consistent, and long-term, participation on the site, especially in certain areas. This program starts this month, June 2025.

How it'll work​

Starting out we'll have two different categories that members can win, both of which are awarded to members for simply participating on the site either by trading or simply posting on the site. Again, there will be one prize for each category every month. Please note that these categories are subject to change and if we remove a category, all your chances are also removed and forfeited.

• Trading​

  • Members will receive one chance for each trade-type transaction that's completed on the site each month.

• Posting​

  • Members will receive one chance for each post in the following sections on the site: Introductions | Hobby showcase | Hobby resources
  • Please note that posts that appear to be posted just for the sake of increasing your post count may be removed.

Recurring chances​

All of your chances will carry over for a total of three months. So, if you have just two trades in June, and nothing else, you will still have two chances in the drawing for June, July, and August. This is where consistent, long-term, activity is rewarded with more chances to win. Obviously once we're three months in, the members who have been the most active over the course of the entire previous three months span will have the greatest chances to win.

The prize(s)​

Each winner that's chosen will win a $25 eBay gift card, delivered via email. All winners will be selected by a random drawing during the first week of every month, starting in July 2025. Members can win multiple prizes. Winners will be notified by DM, here on SCA, and will have 72 hours to reply to that DM to claim the prize. Any prize(s) not claimed within 72 hours of the DM being sent will be forfeited.
