It's been a LONG time since I've gotten a sports card in the mail, and especially one for the ol' PC. This week, however, things changed. Nothing spectacular, but it's a start of, hopefully, many to come in the near future (well, maybe after the holidays...kids are expensive this time of year).

Anyways, here's one I bought on eBay last week, which is a great new addition to my Vince Carter Graded Rookie PC.

Wasn't sure if I should post this here in my mail day thread or in the seal of approval forum, but I figured I hadn't posted here in a while so here will be good. This is a package I got on Monday as a freebie from @AndyDrummond. He sent me a Tony Parker for the ol' PC, but then also included the Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili Ice Prizms from the same set. Thank you Andy!

Had a pretty decent mail day waiting for me at the post office today. First, I got my cards from the X-Men group break I was in with @zlw1.

I'll be honest, I joined this break because I'm a fan of X-Men so I wasn't really after anything in particular. Would've been cool to get a Wolverine card but that didn't happen. I did get a few decent ones, though. My favorite card is the Uncanny Storm but this Greatest Hits card is pretty sweet looking too.

Also in the post box today was a single Tony Parker card for my PC, which I'll show off in my TP9 PC thread later on, and a complete set of 2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball. I actually bought this set from an auction @grapler135s held as one of the SCC charity sets. He agreed to donate the proceeds to the Lupus Foundation, in honor of my late mother-in-law who passed away from the disease. I'm not even sure when the auction was but it's been a while. Anyways, the plan was to auction it off again but we never got around to doing it. I'd actually forgotten about it until he hit me up about it and sent the cards my way.

So, yeah, that was my mail day. Pretty good day at the post office.

This was a mail day from a LONG time ago but, in honor of @Cool_Hand_Flash (Mark) coming back into the mix, I wanted to share it again. For those who don't know, Mark is probably my best and longest-known friend within the hobby. Years ago, on a site far far away, he had the idea to send me a card in what he dubbed a "blind trade". He'd send me a card, then I'd just send him something in return. So, yeah, I agreed...thinking it'd be some cool game-used card or a sweet low-numbered card for my Tony Parker PC...

This is what he sent me instead...I'm not even sure what I sent back in return, but it was definitely not worth getting a low-numbered patch/auto of my favorite Cowboys quarterback of all-time!

Not gonna lie. I didnt like Tony Romo the football player. I love Tony Romo the football announcer. He provides so much insight. He tells you the play that these teams are getting ready to run the second they get to the line. He is almost never run. He even calls audibles in real time.

Yeah, he's very smart. His football knowledge truly makes me believe that the Cowboys never utilized him they way they should have. On any other team, he might've won multiple super bowls. It's a very unpopular opinion, especially here in Texas, but I think he was a much better quarterback that Aikman. Turns out he's also a much better announcer too. 🤣

Thats pretty good praise. I do agree he is a better announcer.

Today's mail day only consisted of a few cards, but one was a new Tony Parker PC add, so heck yeah! I'll share that one over in my TP9 PC thread.

The other card was from a PWE trade with @franklinguy52. It was a bit of a blind trade, and he pretty much nailed it with one of my favorite childhood baseball players, and it's a pretty unique looking card, which is even better!

Then, I also got a non-card, but card related, mail day. I got in a few boxes I ordered to help better sort/store my cards. I got one for the TP9 PC, then one for a lot of the loose cards I have laying around here on my desk. Now I can add the 50+ latest additions in with the others instead of them being in a random stack on my desk.

These are the big super shoe boxes by BCW. They were sold out so I ordered a few of them on eBay. Much better than what I had my PC in before! At some point I'll probably upgrade to a plastic one for these Tony Parker cards but, for now, this will do perfectly.
