What a great player he was! There were several years where he led the league in points in the paint!! Defenders just could not keep him in front of them. Very underrated and very overlooked in the grand scheme of things. I have no idea why Chris Paul was considered the be all and end all for point guards and Parker was an after thought. The Spurs almost traded him for Jason Kidd after they won their second title and their first with Parker. Thankfully that did not happen as Jason Kidd hit the downside shortly after that and Parker improved immensely from then on.
