Pro Set had a fast start in the trading card market beginning in 1988 blazing a cardboard trail still in use with modern releases. Operating in Dallas, Texas, under founder Ludwell Denny, the company was the first to acquire a licensing agreement with NFL Properties, quickly spreading to the PGA Tour, NHL (Parkhurst), and NASCAR throughout the company’s run until 1994.
