Ok, so the Discord channel isn't necessarily new, but our implementation of it is. As some of you may already know, some time ago @AndyDrummond started us up a Discord server to use for real-time chat conversations. We've even run a few video-based trade days and chat sessions. I'm assuming there will be a lot more of that to come in the future, too. So, I highly encourage you all to sign up for Discord, if you haven't already, and join our Discord server. You can do that by visiting this link: https://discord.gg/MwbXkKgM8e
In addition to just having a Discord/chat server available, we've also added a "Chat" tab to the navigation so that anyone who visits the site is able to see what we're up to on the Discord side of things. Also, that page isn't just a "read-only" page. Anyone who visits the chat page, and already has a Discord account, can log in to that page and chat with us on our Discord server. Please note that it's still advisable that you join the server directly because folks who chat via the chat page will appear as a "Guest", or be designated as an "App" user.

On top of that, we've done a few things to kind of bring the Discord server into the forums, namely automated posts to the Discord server whenever new threads are posted to certain forums. So, on the Discord server, we have channels dedicated to #group-breaks, #baseball-bst, #basketball-bst, #football-bst, #hockey-bst, and #vintage-bst. All new group break threads that are posted here on the site will be automatically posted in the #group-breaks channel on Discord. Any new threads in the trading, marketplace, or set collectors forums, on any given section, will also show up in the appropriate Discord channel.
We've got a few other channels in mind for this, too, but the main thing is that the #general channel can simply be used for us to chat about cards, life, or whatever else we want to discuss. Basically, the goal here, not just with the Discord but with this entire site, is to simply build a tight-knit group of collectors. We want everyone to get to know one another and care about one another (and our collections) on a personal level. We don't want to just be another sports card forum where people have seen your username before. We want our members to be able to connect and get to know each other. So, again, please take a few minutes to join our Discord server...say hi, and let's get to know one another. https://discord.gg/MwbXkKgM8e
