I really liked the little pennant on the 65s when collecting as a kid, thought them better than the boxey 64s. Don't have a full set but do have a few dupes so I'll see if I have a match for your need list.Very cool Idea. Even TCDB (Trading Card Data Base) has a "Pay It Forward" thread. I have benefited from it a few times and sent out once maybe twice. Bad on me for not being a better giver. My problem has always been being able to find the stuff I think I have or had. Sometimes I've traded stuff away without updating my have lists.
I am mostly a Washington teams guy and have always been more vintage than modern. I'm getting to the point where I really should stop with the modern stuff and stick to vintage pre 1980. Many of the trends and tons of variants are not for me anymore. I am mostly baseball and football with some non-vintage I'm real picky about the non-sport and it is almost never the TCG things.
Oh and one of my projects I'm still trying to complete is my "Strive for '65" set build of the 1965 Topps Baseball.
I do understand your thoughts on modern vs vintage collecting, actually just started modern set building upon retirement, though I did buy a bunch of wax pack boxes for my son back in the early 80s.
As we are all new members here it seems strange to say welcome, but I'll say it anyway. Welcome to SCA.
